Fleet Driver Training for Corporations

Key Benefits

In the USA, road crashes cause 38 percent of all work-related deaths. By comparison, the second largest cause of such fatalities -- falls -- result in just 14 percent of such deaths [NSC]. The seriousness of this driver safety situation speaks for itself.

  • Protect your personnelusing the most proven and well-established, practical training methodology in the world, combined with international "best knowledge" for the theory aspects;

  • Cut costs from crash-related overheads.  According to the National Safety Council [NSC], in a 2007-2008 document, a work-related road crash with injuries will typically cost your company $74,500;

  • Reduce disruption, not only in the workplace but also to your clients, by reducing the risk of crashes;

  • Reduce maintenance and fuel costs. True advanced driving reduces wear and tear to vehicles and helps reduce fuel consumption, too.

Capabilities

Global Best Practice

The best reason for choosing Advanced Drivers of America to protect your people and cut wasted costs for your company is that ADA uses only "the System of Car Control" -- the world's most proven and longest-established method of true advanced driver training ADA is the only training company in the USA to provide this dramatically superior method of training.

"The System" -- to give it its short name -- has its origins way back, in 1935, when it was introduced by the police in England to reduce crashes their officers were experiencing. Within a short period, UK Government documents were showing a reduction in police crashes to one-sixth of their previous level  -- a cut of around 83%.  "The System" has been continuously reviewed and upgraded for the subsequent 70+ years and is still the only method taught to British traffic patrol police officers, who are now widely held to be the best-trained and safest public-road drivers in the world.

The founder and president of ADA is a former UK traffic patrol officer (details here) and, as with the British police approach, he insists that only "the System" approach will be used by ADA for teaching advanced driving in the USA and Canada.

Continental Coverage

ADA can supply instructors throughout North America (and beyond, if required). For the first training session for every new client, ADA will send a senior instructor and the selected, regular instructor, at no extra charge to the client, so that we ensure the program is correctly aligned to your needs.

Services

On-Site Training

ADA instructors travel all over the USA and Canada to train corporate drivers at locations selected by our clients. The courses are for all drivers and we work in your choice of cars, SUVs, pick-up trucks and/or cargo vans. While professional drivers will benefit immensely from an ADA course, they would be taught in one of the aforementioned vehicles rather than in buses or larger trucks because we will be working on awareness and attitude rather than just handling skills, and it can be assumed that your professional drivers are individuals who have already passed an adequate test of their truck or bus handling capabilities.  There is no need for you to put a large, expensive vehicle temporarily out of commission in order for your drivers to learn what we teach.

Courses vary in duration and intensity, depending upon your specific requirements.

Group Training

On their own, group training in a classroom scenario or, worse still, online training should never be seen even remotely as being an acceptable substitute for more intensive sessions that also include in-car training, but talks to larger groups can play an important role in the enhancement of safety if those talks are part of a structured program.

Our president, Eddie Wren -- ADA's top expert on international traffic safety and driver safety issues -- can attend your general training sessions, annual conference, etc., to speak to large groups and cover a range of key topics that will undoubtedly help your personnel identify and reduce potential risk factors.

Consultancy

If required, we are also happy to attend your head office to review your existing driver safety policies and assist you with effective ways in which these might be effectively enhanced.
