Far too many little children are forgotten or even deliberately left in cars in the USA in hot weather, and they quickly suffer and die from heatstroke.

It has long been known that from a very early age children use their parents as role models when it comes to road safety. As an example, if you don’t always wear your seat belt then your children will very likely grow up to be lax about using their seat belts too, and the possibility of tragedy should be obvious.
The same applies to things like whether or not you ever speed with your children or teens in the vehicle, whether you get angry with other road users, whether you roll through stop signs or run red lights; all of your failings are likely to be repeated by your kids in due course.
