Membership
Membership of Advanced Drivers of America is not restricted to people who reside in North America. We welcome qualified or interested individuals from any country. Indeed our two planned, top-level qualifications are intended specifically for the very best drivers from around the world.
Awards from the UK and Australia are already shown below, alongside the respective categories of ADA membership with which they have been aligned. ADA will be glad to receive details of advanced driving qualifications from other countries which could be added to this list.
Associate Membership of ADA is open to anyone with an interest in safe driving, irrespective of current driving abilities, and is even open to young people who do not yet hold a driver's license. It is also the correct category for anyone who has successfully passed the ‘ADA Graduate Driver’ test.
Bronze Membership of ADA is open to anyone who has passed an ADA Bronze Driver award, the UK IAM test, the Bermuda IAM test, the Australian IAM Test, or similar.
Full Membership of ADA is open to anyone who has passed an ADA or RoSPA ‘Silver Advanced’ test, or higher and are currently qualified. It is also open to individuals who have passed a UK police advanced driving or advanced motorcycle course.
Fellowship of ADA (“FADA”) is open to individuals who either hold a current, ADA "Gold Advanced," award or above, or a current RoSPA/RoADA Gold award (UK). It is also open to qualified, police advanced drivers from any country where the training is based specifically on the “Roadcraft” system of car control. Other organizations' higher advanced driving awards will be considered for Fellowship qualification, upon request.
Honorary Fellowship of ADA (“Hon. FADA”) may be bestowed only by the permanent officers of ADA, and will be awarded to those individuals who are deemed to have made an outstanding contribution either to safe driving standards or to road safety in general. In itself, Honorary Fellowship does not imply any personal ability as an advanced driver unless the recipient successfully qualifies as such, separately. The first year is free, and a fee only becomes payable if the honorary fellow chooses to remain a member thereafter.
Group Membership is available to safety-oriented driving clubs having 20 or more members. Annual membership lists will be required by ADA, in order to confirm eligibility for this low- cost offer of just $30 per person, irrespective of Bronze or Full Membership of ADA, and each person will receive individual e-mails, etc. ADA will also offer groups a reduced rate for "We Can Come to You" training courses.
Corporate Membership is available to businesses and organizations that have an interest in safe driving standards. For further details, please
